Steiny’s Traditional Mettwurst

 
Based in Tanunda in our very own Barossa Valley Steiny’s a family owned and operated company has been producing quality traditional mettwurst and smallgoods for well over 20 years. Specialising in traditional fermentation and smoking methods to create a true German style mettwurst, the original recipe was actually brought to Australia as far back as the early settlers.
 
Steiny’s Traditional Mettwurst is created using a fermentation process similar to beer, wine and bread, which destroys bacteria but also cures, 
creating a truly unique flavour. All Steiny’s products are very high in protein and very low in fat, some 90%; the family take particular pride in their procedures and adhere to the HACCP program, ensuring strict quality control.
 
Using only the best quality ingredients like lean beef, pork and quality spices, smoked with South Australian Riverland mallee timber, gives the product a unique flavour and enhances the curing. It is a wholesome product that is best enjoyed as a snack food, great for lunch boxes or with a glass of beer or wine and a great flavour enhancer to European food dishes like pasta sauce, pizzas and platters.
